| | Description: World War I style metal clad solid wood propeller. Old original Propellers are extremely rare. We have recreated this classic WWI Solid Pinewood Propeller to fill the growing need for flight memorabilia. At one time flight was all about wood and canvas, and even bamboo. A local cabinet maker busy with the fuselage, a cane weaver making a cockpit fauteuil. Flight was accomplished with basically one handle to pull and a couple and a couple of gauges to check. GPS? Visual sighting by identifying roads and churches. Alicionados of our amazing assortment of early flight artifacts will welcome this new and enticing metal clad propeller replica. Mounted on the shaft of huge 6 and 12 cylinder engines, started by giving the propeller a solid swing. Made as the originals were in the 20's from solid pinewood. | |
