G.Debrekht Midnight Chorus Yuletide Santa is hand-carved out of Linden wood famous for its light grain and painted entirely by hand in a combination of watercolor and acrylic paints. An additional level of skill is required to paint in watercolor, since the artist cannot correct mistakes when painting in this medium. Talented artists must adjust the color intensity for each piece, layering the transparent watercolor until the desired depth is achieved. Thousands of brush strokes and many layers of hand mixed paints make each sculpture unique and no two sculptures are ever identical. Limited either to the year of production or by number, which is indicated on the bottom of the sculpture and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. | |
