The father Christmas with Sleigh Christmas Ornament is made from earthenware and painted by hand using traditional techniques to express the vibrant colours of Santa's red coat, trousers and hat. The study replicates in miniature scale the annual Christmas figurine of Santa on his sleigh and captures all the intricate detail on the original study including the scrolls to the side of the sleigh, the sack brimming with toys and the gifts of teddy bear and gaily wrapped parcel nestling in father Christmas's arms, as well as his twinkling eyes. Father Christmas with Sleigh is one of three ornaments portraying this popular yuletide visitor, and father Christmas with Reindeer and father Christmas with Toys complete the merry trio of designs. Each is available individually and a cream coloured ribbon is provided to help tie the ornament to the tree. | |
